Now the fact that Mary is the mother of God is dogma (aka it's an essential part of our Faith). But you do not have to believe in all of the apparitions she has done. But honestly when you look at all the amazing miracles God has preformed through it it's absolutely fantastic.
Which brings me to my first idea, for lack of a better term, her miracles are absolutely amazing! Just look at the most well known, Lourdes. People just wash there face in the water there and they feel healed! Now her healing is more than just physical. For example, when I went to Lourdes I prayed that she would heal my knee, but she granted me something SO much greater. She gave me spiritual courage, strength, and healing! I love it when God hears you ask for something and relies by giving you something so much greater than you could have ever imagined.
And that's my second thought. Everything that Mary does is through the power of God. She is the handmaid of the Lord and thus does the Lord bidding. St. Louis De Montfort's Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary is an amazing read, hard and definitely requires a lot of prayer, but opens up whole new doors to how you look at the trinity and Mary's involvement in it! For example he says;
“We never give more honor to Jesus than when we honor his Mother, and we honor her simply and solely to honor him all the more perfectly. We go to her only as a way leading to the goal we seek- Jesus, her Son."
So that may explain to you why many people will end a prayer saying, "and we ask all this through your most Holy Mother, Hail Mary...", because they wish to have her put their prayer at the foot of her Son so that they may (to put loosely what St. Louis De Montfort said) look like they are worthy of being answered instead of a jumbled mess that we may present. For example; when a child wraps a present for their father for father's day, the present is something the child has put painstaking hours making for them, but can't seem to get the wrapping to look right. Then their mother comes and helps them wrap it so that when it's presented it looks absolutely beautiful with a big bow tied on top. She didn't change the present in any way, just helped present it to the father.
Another cool fact about Mary is rather simple and yet totally mind blowing! It has been stated many times that Mary is the new Eve and Jesus is the new Adam, and through that they are the beginning of the new covenant between God and man. Here's where it gets really interesting; Eve was created by putting Adam to sleep and God taking a rib from his side, and Jesus was "put to sleep" to rise again on the resurrection day and a soldier spears in the rib cage and blood and water flowed out into the hands of the new Eve.
That's all I have right now, but i'm sure i'll have more to tell y'all later. If you have any questions don't be afraid to comment or e-mail me at writesolo@gmail.com
Thanks and God Bless,
